The Conestoga Area Historical Society is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization dedicated to the preservation of the Penn Manor Area history by the exchange of ideas and information, the preservation of resources, and the presentation of historical artifacts from the area through it's museum and buildings. Governed by a 15-member board, the Society provides a forum and a vehicle to achieve these goals. CAHS is a membership organization with 330+ members. A 25th Anniversary Birthday Party will be celebrated on Saturday 16 May; 2:P.M. The festivities will begin in Gundel Hall with a free concert by "The Mule Puppets", a sextet who plays old time music on banjo, guitar and mandolin. At the conclusion of the concert the audience is invited to an also free birthday cake and ice cream social.
The 2015 exhibit at the Conestoga Area Historical Society, 51 Kendig Road, Conestoga, Pa. is "Threads and Inks". On display are antique clothing and paper documents from the society's permanent archival collection. The exhibit may be seen Saturdays and Sundays 1:00-4:00 P.M. 11 April through 12 December 2015.
